This Chinese New Year, Maison Hennessy celebrates the Year of the Snake with a stunning new collaboration featuring renowned Chinese designer Shuting Qiu. The limited-edition collection, titled “Reimagination,” merges fashion and luxury, drawing inspiration from the snake’s symbolism of renewal and positive transformation.
The Artist
Shuting Qiu, a Shanghai-based designer from Hangzhou, brings her cultural heritage into play by incorporating traditional elements like Chinese brocade, jacquard fabrics, and embroidery prints. These motifs are reimagined in abstract forms, representing the snake’s scales and movements across Hennessy’s iconic VSOP, X.O, and Paradis carafes.
Each bottle design, primarily in red, tells a unique story, evoking both Hennessy’s heritage and the flowing Charente River. Qiu’s designs are distinctive yet rooted in tradition. The VSOP edition is youthful and energetic, adorned with vibrant red floral and Hawaiian-inspired patterns, paired with plaid and abstract snake scales.

This edition features embossing on the gift box, adding texture reminiscent of Qiu’s fabric designs. The X.O edition is bold and dynamic, blending shades of red, gold, and blue, with an embossed snake gliding through traditional Chinese motifs.
