Hermès has opened its first standalone Perfume and Beauty boutique in Southeast Asia at Raffles City Singapore, with the only other store located in Japan. It’s a significant debut for the region and one that introduces a new way to experience Hermès’ universe of colour, scent and craft.
The boutique sets itself apart from typical beauty spaces that often feel stark or clinical. Here, the tone is warm and inviting. A palette of soft hues and natural wood forms the backdrop, while vertical wooden stripes guide visitors through the store with quiet rhythm. The atmosphere is calm and intimate, encouraging guests to explore at their own pace.
At its centre sits the Hermès library. A thoughtful display that blends books and objects tied to the house’s heritage and curiosity. Titles such as Tropical Asian Style sit alongside Hermès’ own orange-spined volumes like the Au 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, while decorative pieces like the Rouge Birman paperweight and Gianpaolo Pagni’s Neo Block vase add touches of character.
For a more tailored experience, a private consultation room offers a discreet setting for make-up trials and fragrance discovery. A sofa, illuminated mirror and cleverly concealed sink make it practical, while drawings from the Émile Hermès Collection – including Christian Renonciat’s Pegasus – anchor the room to the maison’s artistic roots.
Across the boutique, make-up stations invite guests to play with texture and colour, and a dedicated corner for the Hermessence collection creates a quiet space for deeper fragrance exploration. Signature lines such as Rouge Hermès, Les Mains Hermès and Plein Air are displayed clearly, making it easy for visitors to navigate the range.
