High Speed Hitters keep Thunderbelles winless

MANILA, Philippines — The PLDT High Speed Hitters made quick work of ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-20, 25-18, 25-16, to post back-to-back wins in the 2026-27 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series on Thursday afternoon at the Santiago City Arena in Isabela.

PLDT improved to a 2-2 win-loss record, while ZUS is still searching for a win after falling to a 0-4 card.

The High Speed Hitters dominated the Thunderbelles right from the start with Savi Davison leading the team in scoring with 13 points and nine excellent receptions.

Kianna Dy added eight points while Dell Palomata and Jessa Ordiales scored six points, each for PLDT.

Despite the absence of head coach Rald Ricafort, who was also not around in PLDT’s first win in the tournament against Capital 1 last Saturday, assistant coach Manolo Refugia call the shots from the sideline.

“We are happy because we followed the game plan, and our mindset shifted since we experienced those two consecutive losses. We got our groove, and the challenge right now is to be consistent and maintain this feeling of winning,” Refugia said.

ZUS Coffee had no double-digit scorers with Zam Nolasco leading the team with nine points while Alexis Miner added five.
