Higher costs, inflation hit Converge income

CONVERGE ICT Solutions Inc. on Friday declared a net income of P8.09 for the first nine months of 2026, a decline from P8.90 billion last year, due to higher expenditures and the impact of inflation.

Despite the decline, the company said its revenues grew to P34.25 billion from P32.97 billion driven by improved performances of its business segments.

Total capital expenditures rose to P9.90 billion from P7.40 billion and were mainly used for the expansion of the firm’s fiber network and improving its overall services.

As of end September, Converge’s residential subscriber base reached 3.10 million, up from 2,926,593 subscribers last year.

Residential revenues reached P27.88 billion from P27.75 billion as a result of steady demand notwithstanding persistent inflationary pressures, the company said.

Revenue from the enterprise segment, meanwhile, grew to P6.37 billion from P5.22 billion.

Converge’s share price fell by 10 centavos to P9.13 apiece on Friday.
