Heat wave conditions are expected to persist in parts of Himachal Pradesh on June 10, with the State Meteorological Centre issuing a yellow alert for Una, Bilaspur and Solan districts. The warning indicates the likelihood of heat wave conditions at isolated places in these districts during the day.

According to the forecast, minimum and maximum temperatures across the state are likely to increase by 2°C to 3°C, resulting in warmer weather conditions. However, respite from the heat is expected later this week as the Met Centre has predicted widespread rainfall accompanied by hailstorms in several parts of the state from June 11 to June 15. Orange and yellow alerts have been issued for the period.

Weather remained largely dry across Himachal Pradesh during the past 24 hours, with most areas experiencing clear skies and sunny conditions. Minimum temperatures stayed within the normal range, varying between 6°C and 26°C, while maximum temperatures were 2°C to 3°C above normal.

Shimla recorded a maximum temperature of 27.5°C, while Dharamshala registered 35°C, Manali 27.2°C, Kangra 38.8°C, Mandi 38°C, Sundernagar 37.4°C, Nahan 36.3°C, Bhuntar 35.2°C and Chamba 34.4°C. Kufri and Kalpa recorded 23.1°C and 23.8°C, respectively, while Keylong registered 21.7°C.

Una was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 42.8°C. Kukumseri in Lahaul and Spiti district remained the coldest, recording a minimum temperature of 6.2°C.
