In an attempt to decongest the town, the most congested stretch from Laxmi Bai chowk to town park will be widened to a six-lane corridor. The state government has approved the project to widen and strengthen this stretch of about two kilometres.
Haryana Public Works Department (PWD) and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) minister Ranbir Gangwa informed that the project has received approval from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The state government has granted approval of approximately Rs 30.08 crore for the project.
Gangwa said that the project will improve the traffic management in Hisar town by easing congestion and ensuring smoother movement of vehicles on one of the town’s most important roads. He said that state government remains committed to providing modern and well-planned infrastructure to support the town’s growing transportation needs.
The six-lane expansion is expected to make travel safer, faster and more convenient for commuters. Officials believe the upgraded road network will also boost commercial activity, attract investment and support overall urban development in the area.
The minister expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Saini and said that development works in Hisar are progressing steadily. He added that more infrastructure projects aimed at improving public facilities and strengthening the town’s urban framework will be introduced in the future.
