Police are actively pursuing a driver responsible for a collision involving four vehicles on Jalan Cheras. The incident occurred near the Sunway Medical Centre at the traffic light intersection yesterday (July 4), as the driver traveled from the city center towards PGRM.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa reported that the authorities received complaints from the owners of the four impacted vehicles around 9:40 pm. The collision took place when a Honda City struck the four stationary cars from behind at the traffic lights near the Sunway Medical Centre.

"The suspect’s vehicle collided with a Perodua Bezza on the right side, an Inokom Atos at the rear, a Suzuki Swift on the right side, and a Perodua Alza on the left side. Following the crash, the suspect abandoned the vehicle near the Sunway Medical Centre lobby and fled the scene," Rusdi explained.

Upon inspecting the abandoned Honda City, police uncovered various illegal substances, including Methamphetamine, Eremin 5, Ketamine, and seven ecstasy pills, with an estimated market value of RM10,577. Additionally, three mobile phones and two residential access cards were found inside the vehicle.

The authorities are now calling on anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. The public can reach out to the Cheras police hotline at 03-9284 5050/5051, the KL Traffic hotline at 03-2071 9999/03-2071 9777, or the KL police hotline at 03-2115 9999. Alternatively, individuals are encouraged to contact the nearest police station.

This incident has raised significant concerns about drug-related activities and road safety within the area. The police are intensifying their efforts to locate the driver responsible for this collision and to ensure the safety and security of all residents. By urging the community to assist with any relevant information, the authorities hope to swiftly bring the perpetrator to justice and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Ensuring road safety and combating illegal drug activities remain top priorities for the Kuala Lumpur police, who are committed to maintaining order and protecting the well-being of the city's residents.
