MANILA, Philippines — Ho Chi Minh City took down defending champions PLDT High Speed Hitters in four sets, 28-26, 19-25, 25-21, 25-16, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference on Thursday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
Vietnam team captain Thi Kim Thanh Dang led the scoring with 19 points on 17 attacks and two aces, while Thi Bich Diep backed her up with 18 points.
Ho Chi Minh’s setter made 23 excellent sets that allowed two more players to score in double digits as Thi My Xuyen Le and Thi Nhung Dao each scored 14 for the visiting team.
PLDT was led by Kim Kianna Dy who scored 25 and Savannah Davison who added 16.
