Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund took to social media to apologise to his club's supporters this week.
The centre forward offered an apology to Manchester United fans after their 3-0 loss in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
The Red Devils were well beaten at home by Newcastle United, despite the Magpies resting more of their senior starters.
Hojlund, who came onto the field with United already 3-0 down in the second half, posted on Instagram afterward.
His statement was only four words and read: Sorry for today everyone"
United next go to Fulham in the Premier League in the early kickoff on Saturday.
