KENINGAU: Assistant Minister of Works Datuk Robert Tawik hopes the Sabah School Sports Council (MSS) contingent will be able to retain their title won at last year’s championship at the Malaysian School Sports Council (MSSM) Athletics Games which will be held in Negeri Sembilan this month.

He said the managers and coaches play an important role in ensuring that MSS Sabah athletes have a sense of identity, loyal friends and team spirit to ensure that the Sabah contingent succeeds with excellence.

“I and all the people of Sabah are very proud that last year, the Sabah MSS contingent was crowned as the champions in the MSSM athletics championship,” he said at the flag handing over ceremony held at the Anggerik Boutique hotel hall here on Monday.

He said today is very meaningful because it is a proof of the commitment between athletes, coaches and team officials to give their best in their respective events, as well as make the name of Sabah greater.
