Kota Kinabalu: 35 former students of Holy Trinity School reunited here on Friday in an event themed ‘Night of Nostalgia Get Together’.

Held at Kinabalu Club in Penampang Road, the event saw former students from different decades including those who studied at the school in the 1950s.

“The 35 alumni spanned generations, from the late 1950s to the dawn of the 21st century for a night of nostalgia.”

“The evening began with a wave of nostalgia as the elder statesmen of the group took to the microphone, regaling the crowd with tales of their school days. Their anecdotes painted a vivid picture of a bygone era, sparking fond recollections and eliciting chuckles from their former schoolmates,” said the organiser of the event.

The organiser said some of the former students travelled far to attend the event.

“They include Irene Maluda from Australia, Naimah Maidin from Kuala Lumpur, Agnes Marto and husband, Austin Bugatt from Kuching, Sarawak.

“The event served as a poignant reminder of the lasting impact of school days and the enduring power of community. All those present agreed that it was a truly special evening, a testament to the lasting legacy of Holy Trinity School, Tawau,” the organiser added.
