Okay, so we already knew the HONOR X9e Pro was going big on durability and battery life.
But now that it has officially arrived in Malaysia, we finally know what else is packed inside and, more importantly, how much it costs.
Starting from RM1,899, the HONOR X9e Pro comes with nine major upgrades spanning its battery, durability, water resistance, camera, AI features, performance, display and after sales protection.
And if you’re planning to get one early, there’s quite a bit being thrown into the preorder deal too.
Pre order now and they’re throwing in a tablet too
Let’s talk about the deal first because, yes, there’s a free tablet involved.
From 24 September until 8 October 2026, those who preorder the HONOR X9e Pro will receive a free HONOR Pad X7 (4GB+128GB, WiFi) alongside other benefits worth more than RM1,600 in total.
That includes 730 day Front & Back Crack Protection, 730 day Liquid Damage Protection and a one year Extended Warranty.
There’s also an RM100 instant rebate, bringing the price down to as low as RM1,799 during the preorder period.
So, what exactly are you getting with the phone itself?
Quite a lot, actually.
That 11,000mAh battery can charge your friend’s phone too
We have to start with the battery because 11,000mAh inside a smartphone is still pretty wild.
HONOR claims it is the largest smartphone battery capacity in the industry, delivering up to 66.8 hours of video playback, 164.5 hours of music playback and 35.6 hours of short video browsing under its official test conditions.
Basically, your “eh, anyone got power bank?” moments could become much less frequent.
It supports 80W wired charging too, but there’s another useful trick hiding inside that giant battery.
With 27W reverse wired charging, the X9e Pro can actually be used to charge another phone.
So if your friend’s battery is dying, congratulations. You are now the power bank.
Accidentally dropping your phone might hurt you more than the phone
If you’re someone who drops their phone way more often than you’d like to admit, this part is probably for you.
HONOR designed the X9e Pro’s chassis using principles inspired by crash beams in race cars, alongside a full surface adhesive bonding solution designed to better distribute impact.
The phone has been tested across more than 10 types of real world surfaces and all eight points of the device.
It has also received the SGS Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance, which the brief states is the first time the certification has been awarded to a smartphone.
And HONOR didn’t stop at regular drop tests.
During an earlier media demonstration, journalists fired rubber pellets from an air gun directly at the screen. According to HONOR, it continued working normally after repeated hits.
Please don’t recreate that one at home, though.
Water? It’s prepared for that too
The X9e Pro comes with IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, with its water resistance reaching depths of up to 10 metres.
HONOR says its waterproofing architecture takes inspiration from submarines, combining a pressure resistant outer shell, multiple waterproof layers, compartmentalised sealing and drainage channels.
It has also been tested against repeated submersion, high pressure water jets and hot water.
In other words, an accidental encounter with water doesn’t necessarily have to become an immediate “GG phone” moment.
Your screen can fight back against the Malaysian sun
You know the struggle.
You step outside at noon, look at your phone and suddenly you’re staring at your own reflection instead of whatever is actually on the screen.
HONOR has pushed the X9e Pro’s peak brightness up to 10,000 nits, which the company says represents a 67% increase over its predecessor.
That extra brightness is designed to keep content visible even when you’re using the phone under Malaysia’s very enthusiastic sunshine.
There’s a 108MP camera, plus some AI tricks
This time around, HONOR has also given the camera department some attention.
The X9e Pro features a 108MP OIS AI main camera with a 1/1.67 inch sensor and f/1.75 aperture. Its stabilisation reaches CIPA 6.0 level, which HONOR says helps with shooting in low light conditions.
And remember that 10m water resistance?
The phone comes with Underwater Colour Tuning too, which is designed to automatically correct the blue green colour cast that can appear in underwater photos.
On the AI side, there’s AI Enhanced Night, AI Enhanced Zoom and AI Enhanced Portrait.
Moving Photo also includes Motion Trail, Motion Clone and Slow Motion effects, while AI Image to Video 2.0 can turn a still image and short text prompt into a video.
So there are quite a few things to play around with beyond simply pointing the camera and pressing the shutter.
It got an upgrade under the hood too
Powering everything is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset alongside HONOR’s Hummingbird Architecture 2.0.
According to HONOR, the latter is designed to maintain responsive performance for up to 72 months, using AI Trajectory Compensation, Page Level Scheduling and a Kernel Lightweight Engine.
HONOR also claims app launch speeds can be up to twice as fast as comparable devices.
And the protection lasts longer this time
A tough phone is nice, but accidents can still happen.
That’s where HONOR Rakyat Care+ comes in.
The X9e Pro preorder package includes 730 day Front & Back Crack Protection, covering the display and rear camera glass, alongside 730 day Liquid Damage Protection, which entitles users to one free repair at an authorised service centre if liquid damage occurs within the two year period.
HONOR is also including a one year Extended Warranty at no additional cost as part of the preorder package.
