The Spectrum collection represents “Phase 2” of Horizon’s design evolution, focusing on stronger geometry and refined detailing. At its core is a 38mm 316L stainless steel case that combines classic round proportions with modern, angular lugs. The case construction features a discreet signature “dimple” along the flank and a rhythm of contrasting finishes—sandblasted, circular, polished, and vertically brushed—that create a uniquely textured appearance.
Crowning the architectural case is a box-shaped “top-hat” sapphire crystal with a triple-layer anti-reflective coating, adding significant visual depth to the dial composition beneath.
A Multi-Plane Dial Worth Observation
The heart of the Spectrum is its innovative, multi-layered dial designed to play with light and reflection.
- Top Layer: CNC-machined from solid steel with deep ridges that reveal the vibrant layers below.
- Middle Layer: Nicknamed “the pizza,” this plate is divided into four colour quadrants designed to evoke emotional resonance.
- Outer Ring: Crafted from sapphire glass to refract light differently than the metal components, producing a subtle, shifting shimmer.
This kinetic artwork is powered by the Miyota 9015, a slim and reliable Japanese automatic movement. Horizon has elevated the calibre with a custom-designed, full-rounded tungsten rotor that mirrors the dial’s perfect symmetry.
