A hotel owner is seeking justice after a guest allegedly slapped a housekeeping worker several times and damaged property following a misunderstanding.
Worker thought the room was empty

According to the owner, the housekeeper was carrying out their duties when they mistakenly thought that a hotel room was empty.
Reported by BeautifulNara, before entering the room, the worker realised that a guest was still inside.
The situation allegedly escalated despite the misunderstanding, with the guest accused of slapping the worker in the face several times.
Several items belonging to the hotel were also reportedly damaged during the incident.
Police report lodged
The owner said a police report was subsequently lodged over the alleged assault and property damage.
CCTV footage showing the incident was also submitted to the authorities as evidence.
However, the owner claimed that no appropriate action had been taken so far, leaving them disappointed with how the case had been handled.
Guest allegedly posted negative reviews

To the owner’s surprise, the guest allegedly went on to leave a poor review of the hotel after the incident.
The individual was also accused of posting negative comments about the hotel across several online platforms.
This added to the owner’s frustration, as they maintained that the CCTV footage clearly showed what had happened to the worker on the day of the incident.
At the time of writing, it is unclear whether there have been any further developments from the police or a response from the guest accused of being involved.
The incident has also raised concerns about the safety of hospitality workers when dealing with guests, particularly when misunderstandings occur while they are carrying out their duties.
