MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives' prosecution panel for the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte is unafraid of the next elections.
"We are not worried. We are fulfilling our constitutional duty as House prosecutors, as congressmen, as representatives of our constituents ...", San Juan City Rep. Ysabel Zamora said in Filipino and English in a press conference on Tuesday when asked whether they were worried that their being impeachment prosecutors may affect them in the next elections.
"We are not afraid of the next elections because we believe that the people will see the evidence and we believe that the senators themselves will see the evidence ...", Zamora said.
