Alex Fitzpatrick’s entire career has been completely turned around in just two weeks.

Before the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last week, Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of Matt, had zero status on the PGA Tour.

He was mostly plying his trade on the DP World Tour.

However, Alex Fitzpatrick is now a fully-fledged member of the PGA Tour until the end of the 2028 season.

Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick won the Zurich Classic nine days ago, after making a birdie on the final hole of the tournament.

World number four Matt Fitzpatrick inviting Alex to play alongside him in the tournament gave his younger brother the platform he needed to showcase his true talents.

Alex then followed that up with a fine performance in Miami, ending up in a tie for ninth.

The money he has earned in those two starts has been genuinely life-changing for him, given the freedom it will offer him.

It will be hard for Alex Fitzpatrick not to keep checking his bank account this week.

He must be on cloud nine right now after what has been such a whirlwind two weeks.

The money he has earned on the PGA Tour in his last two starts should really free him up now for the rest of the season.

Let’s take a look at how his career DP World Tour earnings compare to the money he has made in his last two starts on the PGA Tour.

After playing 87 tournaments on the DP World Tour, Fitzpatrick has earned $3,292,696.

That works out to an average of $37,847 earned in every event the Englishman has played on the DP World Tour.

Now let’s take a look at his last two PGA Tour starts.

Astronomical PGA Tour earnings for Alex Fitzpatrick

After winning the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and finishing in a tie for ninth at the Cadillac Championship, Fitzpatrick pocketed a cool $1,872,750 – an average of $936,375 per event.

His total earnings during 10 events on the DP World Tour this season currently stand at $688,000, and that includes his win in India back in March.

The money on the PGA Tour has grown exponentially over the past few years, and Alex Fitzpatrick is taking full advantage of that.

What an unreal last two weeks he has just experienced. It’s no exaggeration to say that they have been life-changing for him.

Alex Fitzpatrick has his brother, Matt, to thank for that because, without him, he wouldn’t have a PGA Tour card right now.
