No matter what you do, whether its checking the latest headlines or researching your next holiday, a Google search often gives you too much information.
The company has now introduced a feature making finding the top headlines of the day from your favourite news outlets a little bit easier.
Google's “Preferred Sources” features gives users the power to decide which news outlets they want to appear more often in their searches and AI queries.
Preferred sources are websites - such as euronews.com - that you can select in your Google settings that will be prioritised when showing news and content on their platforms.
If you make Euronews your preferred source, you’ll find it easier to get trusted news and information from us when making a Google search or using AI – and without relying on the algorithm.
Make Euronews your preferred source:
- Click here to login to your Google account and search for Euronews.com
- Tick the box and that’s it, Euronews is your preferred source.
- Alternatively, you can click the “Add Euronews on Google” as an option alongside the “Share” and “Comments” features under each article on our website.
You can change or cancel the setting at any time in your Google account.
By selecting Euronews as your preferred source, you'll find it easier to get the latest news and developments from our journalists, more often, in your "Top Stories" and the dedicated "From your Sources" section on Google's search results page.
You can choose as many preferred sources as you'd like, and change your selection at any time, giving you the mix of news and views you want.
