With Night of the Champions now in the bag, all eyes at WWE will be on what they do with their major stars heading into SummerSlam.
Sami Zayn’s unexpected title win has left both Gunther and Cody Rhodes with fresh angles to work with, while Oba Femi’s coronation as new King of the Ring opens up doors for him too.
With Roman Reigns holding the heavyweight championship and the Bloodline 2.0 story in full swing, there are plenty of options for WWE to take over the next six weeks to SummerSlam.
One of the big talking points left outstanding from recent months is the situation with Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi.
The two behemoths are 1-1 in their match ups and it goes without saying that there’s a huge appetite for round three to take place.
Indeed, come SummerSlam, this is where WWE can pull the trigger and give Oba his big moment.
Oba Femi should beat Brock Lesnar to win the WWE title
The world of WWE is all about story telling. Sure, the plan and execution with Sami Zayn is good to see but he just isn’t the man to carry the belt or company on his back.
With that in mind and with the Saturday Night Main Event to come before SummerSlam, this is the ideal chance to give Lesnar the title again.
Having Lesnar crush Sami and then head into SummerSlam as the champion gives Oba Femi the perfect opportunity to call out Brock for round three.
From here, it would be in WWE’s best interest to simply pull the trigger on Oba and allow him to not only beat Lesnar, but dominate him to take the belt.
We’ve seen plenty of torch passing moments in WWE over the years and we all know what The Undertaker losing his streak did for Lesnar many years ago.
Now, the time has come for Lesnar to do the same and put Oba Femi on top as the company’s top star.
Doing that opens doors aplenty, with potential clashes with Reigns, Rhodes, Orton and Rollins all potential booking options for ‘The Ruler’.
