The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is set to conduct examinations for the recruitment of 347 posts of assistant professor in various disciplines under the Department of Higher Education. Online applications have been invited till July 14. The examination for the said posts is expected to be conducted in the third week of July.
As per the official notification, the commission has invited applications for 39 posts of assistant professor in English, 34 each in chemistry and Hindi, 25 each in physics and mathematics, 23 in physical education, 14 in public administration, 13 in psychology, 20 each in geography, botany and zoology, 17 in sociology, 16 in political science, 15 in commerce, 10 in economics, six each in Sanskrit and geology, five in philosophy, four each in music I and music V, and two each in dance and tabla.
Nivedita Negi, Secretary, HPPSC, said forms were made available on the official website of the commission — www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc. She said the link would remain available till July 14, after which it would be disabled. “Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be rejected straightaway,” she said.
