The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is set to conduct examinations for the recruitment of as many as 347 posts of Assistant Professors in various disciplines in the Department of Higher Education, for which online applications have been invited till July 14.
The exam for the said posts is expected to be conducted in the third week of July.
An official notification regarding the recruitment examinations have been issued by the commission.
As per the notification, the commission has invited applications for 39 posts of Assistant Professors for English, 34 posts each for Chemistry and Hindi, 25 each for Physics and Mathematics, 23 for Physical Education, 14 for Public Administration, 13 for Psychology, 20 posts each for Geography, Botany and Zoology, 17 for Sociology, 16 for Political Science, 15 for Commerce, 10 for Economics, six each for Sanskrit and Geology, five for philosophy, four posts each for Music I and Music V and two each for dance and tabla.
Nivedita Negi, Secretary, HPPSC, said that the commission has invited online recruitment applications from desirous and eligible candidates for recruitment for the posts of Assistant Professors and forms have been made available on the official website of the commission, viz. www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc. She said that the link will remain available till July 14 after which it will be disabled.
“Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be rejected straightaway. Essential qualifications, eligible conditions and examination fees etc., have been mentioned in the detailed advertisement. All the instructions regarding filling up online recruitment applications have been made available on the official website of the commission,” she said.
