Hublot has unveiled the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire, the latest chapter in its ongoing collaboration with American artist and brand ambassador Daniel Arsham. This limited-edition release marks Arsham’s first wristwatch design for the Swiss luxury watchmaker, following the success of the sculptural MP-16 Arsham Droplet.
The MP-17 is a bold reinterpretation of horological design, drawing inspiration from the fluidity of water, organic forms, and Arsham’s signature “fictional archaeology” style. The watch takes shape as a wearable sculpture, combining Hublot’s cutting-edge materials with Arsham’s vision of collapsing temporal boundaries — where an object might just as easily belong to the past as the future.
Artistically Crafted
Crafted from titanium, sapphire crystal, and rubber, the 42mm case is compact yet visually striking. A frosted sapphire bezel, a splash-shaped aperture on the dial, and the use of Arsham’s signature green accents add to the timepiece’s dynamic identity. Hublot’s six H-screws, titanium folding clasp and familiar lugs retain the brand’s design DNA, while the flowing case lines mark a clear departure from traditional forms.
Inside beats the newly downsized Meca-10 calibre — a manual-wind, in-house movement with a 10-day power reserve — visible through both the dial opening and the transparent caseback. The watch’s performance matches its conceptual depth, presenting a seamless fusion of engineering and artistic narrative.
