
Kota Kinabalu: A 28-year-old man was charged with causing hurt to his mother with a pair of scissors.
Saipulla Hairi pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Azreena Aziz, to the charge against him on Monday.
He is accused of voluntarily causing hurt his mother Raihana Gafur, 57, by using the weapon at 9.30am on July 2 this year at the Skim Penempatan Telipok Phase 2, Manggatal.
The offence under Section 324 of the Penal Code and read together with Section 326A of the same Code provides for a jail term of up to 20 years, fine or with whipping, or with any of the punishments, upon conviction.

Saipulla was ordered remanded further pending the date.
