A woman has sparked attention online after sharing a deeply sarcastic birthday message directed at her husband’s alleged affair partner on Facebook. A woman she claims had been her close friend for 15 years.
Instead of sending the usual birthday wishes, she chose to make the occasion a very different kind of message.
In her post, she publicly addressed Maybel Yee, wishing her a happy birthday while thanking her for allegedly “taking out the trash” from her life.
“Today is the birthday of the best friend in my life,” she wrote sarcastically, before asking people to give Maybel a round of applause.
She then expressed her “gratitude” for what she described as the betrayal.
“Thank you for being willing to sacrifice your own family happiness just to recycle the trash beside me,” she wrote.
The woman also accused her former friend of watching her suffer while secretly helping her “clean up the trash” without her knowledge.
She claimed that the situation had not only changed her own life, but also the life of her innocent daughter.
The most striking part of the post, however, came when she appeared to let go of the relationship altogether.
“As for the trash, I’ve already made peace with it,” she wrote.
She then told the woman to take her husband as a birthday present.
“This year, just take this trash as your birthday present. I don’t want him anymore. I won’t fight with you for him — and I can’t beat you anyway.”
The post ended with another sarcastic jab.
She said she did not possess the other woman’s supposedly “pitiful, innocent” appearance, before concluding with a seemingly polite: “Happy birthday.”
While the circumstances surrounding the alleged relationship were not independently verified, the woman’s post has drawn attention for its combination of heartbreak, anger and biting sarcasm.
Rather than directly begging her husband to return, she appeared to frame the situation as something she was finally willing to walk away from.
For many readers, the message was less about the birthday itself and more about a woman publicly declaring that she was done fighting for someone who had already chosen to leave.
Whether the “trash” metaphor was meant as pure sarcasm or a final act of closure, one thing was clear: this was definitely not an ordinary birthday greeting.
