According to the man, the incident happened on Saturday while he was inflating his car tyres at a petrol station. Suddenly, he was approached by two men and they started assaulting him before one of them began recording a video while accusing him of being a thief.

“One of them said, ‘This is the thief, this is the thief.’ I questioned his claim asking what did I steal’, but they left,” Recalled Azizurrahman.

When asked whether the attack could have been linked to his commentary on local football, Azizurrahman said he had no reason to suspect anyone.

“I have no enemies, no debts to loan sharks, I have not interfered with anyone’s wife and I have no issues with gangsters or road bullies. I have lodged a police report and I leave it to the police to investigate,” he said.
