A YouTuber and football critic suffers a fractured eye socket after being assaulted by two men at a gas station in Petaling Jaya.
KUALA LUMPUR: A YouTuber and football critic suffered a fractured eye socket and several other injuries after allegedly being assaulted by two unidentified individuals at a gas station near Bandar Sri Damansara, Petaling Jaya, last Saturday.
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Shamsudin Mamat (pic) stated that the police received a report of the incident at 7:56 pm on the same day and preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, who is in his 40s, was approached by two men riding a Yamaha LC motorcycle while he was about to inflate his vehicle’s tyres.
“The suspects proceeded to beat the victim repeatedly and recorded a video before fleeing the scene,” he said in a statement today adding that the motive for the incident is still under investigation, and efforts to track down both suspects are currently underway.
Shamsudin noted that the case, which went viral on the social media platform Threads, is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
