Whether pulling at our heartstrings with its famous TV ads or offering a huge range of gifts, John Lewis knows how to do Christmas. It’s no surprise that this also applies to its highly anticipated beauty advent calendar – which I can now unveil the contents of for 2026.
Worth more than £1,000, John Lewis says this is its biggest advent calendar to date and indeed the products hidden behind the doors – including Trinny London, Fenty Beauty and Elemis – stand it in good stead for the best beauty advent calendar I’ve seen so far.
Last year, our tester described the offering as “put together with mature skin in mind” with brands like Dermalogica, Kate Somerville, Estee Lauder being the stand out. This year, the calendar of 25 drawers includes a well-rounded mix of skincare, make-up, haircare, and bodycare for beauty lovers – and, for the first time, beauty tech in the shape of facial treatment device the Foreo mini UFO (worth £129 alone).
To get ahead of the highly anticapted launch, here’s all you need to know about the John Lewis beauty advent calendar 2026 including a full list of what’s inside.

John Lewis beauty advent calendar 2026
Price: £250
Worth: £1,160
Number of products: 41 (23 full size)
Avaliable: Pre-orders from 3 August
John Lewis has taken a notably broader approach with its 2026 beauty advent calendar, curating a lineup that balances trendy names, established beauty icons and accessible premium brands. Rather than leaning heavily into ultra-luxury skincare alone, the retailer has assembled a collection that feels designed to appeal to a wide range of beauty lovers, with hydration, glow and everyday essentials forming the backbone of the edit. Familiar favourites from Charlotte Tilbury, Clarins, Clinique and Dermalogica sit comfortably alongside cult names such as Medik8, Malin+Goetz and Foreo, creating a calendar that's as practical as it is indulgent.
What makes the calendar particularly appealing is its versatility. Instead of focusing on products that feel aspirational but niche, many of the inclusions are genuine staples that slot easily into an existing routine, from Medik8's hydr8 B5 serum and Dermalogica's daily microfoliant to L'Occitane's best-selling almond shower oil and the Clarins lip comfort oil.
There's still room for a touch of luxury, too (it is Christmas after all) with La Mer's lip balm and a Jo Loves candle adding a premium edge, while the Foreo UFO 3 mini offers one of the calendar's standout hero products for anyone curious about beauty tech. Trendy brands haven’t been skipped either with Skin Rocks and Sculpted by Aimee on the list.
Where my excitement slightly wanes is with the Rituals, Nuxe and This Works products as you can find these brands in almost every calendar. And do we really need another glittery nail polish in our lives (Mavala pure diamond nail polish is one of the products)? I’d swap out the perfume mini, Versace’s crystal emerald, to something a bit more special.
Retailing at £250, the John Lewis beauty advent calendar encompasses 41 products in 25 drawers, of which more than 50 per cent are full size. It’s £15 more expensive than last year, but this time you get five more products including two more that are full-sized.
