I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has confirmed the return of the live trial – which two campmates will take on later this week.

It comes after the celebrities were evacuated from their campsite due to a huge storm in Australia, with one source saying that “everything is fine” now.

Filming for Monday night’s episode had been pushed back by three hours because of the weather, The Sun reported, with the instalment showing the campmates trying to keep their spirits up as the torrential downpour hit.

The evacuation came before rapper Aitch took on the latest trial. Having failed to win any stars on his last go, the Manchester-born rapper was overjoyed to take back an impressive 11 stars on his latest attempt.

Unfortunately, one of them counted for nothing as the contestants were punished after Alex Scott was caught with contraband salt. She wasn’t the only one, though, with Shona McCarty also guilty of bringing in unauthorised goods.

I’m a Celebrity continues nightly on ITV and ITVX.

I'm A Celeb contraband through the years

Last night’s episode saw Alex Scott face the consequences after appearing to sprinkle some contraband salt in the camp’s dinner - but she’s far from the first I’m a Celebrity star to sneak in a prohibited item.

Last year, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough snuck teabags in by hiding them in his water bottle holder while back in 2010, Gillian McKeith infamously hid a whole host of herbs and spices in her underwear.

Not all of the jungle smugglers have brought in kitchen items, though.

In 2013, Amy Willerton took in make-up and managed to keep it secret for an impressive 10 days. The year before, David Haye didn’t fare too well with his incredibly obvious contraband: mobile phones.

Kelly Brook may have had a few awkward encounters in the jungle, but back home, love is in the air as her husband gave a rare interview describing the “magical” moment they met.

...and it looks like a less fraught episode than yesterday.

Among the highlights, Ruby grabbing onto a bag of sweets and not letting go (relatable) and Jack Osbourne taking on a very watery Bushtucker trial.

Contraband woes

ICYMI Alex Scott landed herself in hot water after she was caught with salt at dinner, having smuggled the luxury item into the campsite without producers knowing.

She wasn’t the only one, however, with Shona McGarty also successfully bringing in an air freshener.

Both solid options for three weeks in the jungle – what would you bring in?

What time is I'm a Celeb on tonight?

For those who want an early(ish_ night, good news - it’s a standard episode this evening, starting at 9pm and ending at 10.05pm.

Too many... pants?

Campers have to go without a lot of things when they’re in the jungle – hence why Alex had to sneak in salt!

Speaking on Loose Women recently, former contestant Mylene Klass said that the show’s producers “come at you for everything” and recalled the time she broke the rules by bringing in too many pairs of pants.

Tonight's Bushtucker trial

A preview for tonight’s episode has spoiled a cliffhanger from last night’s episode – just who will be taking on the next trial?

The return of the live trial!

Our requests haven’t fallen on deaf ears after all: ITV are finally bringing back the much-loved live trial.

The last one to take place in the Australian jungle was back in 2019, when the series featured Caitlyn Jenner, Roman Kemp, and Ian Wright among others.

A live trial also occurred when the series relocated to Wales in 2020 due to pandemic travel restrictions.

So who will be the (un)lucky campers to take this on?

ICYMI: The moment torrential downpour hit the camp

'Everything is fine now'

After a storm battered the campsite earlier, forcing the contestants to take shelter in the Bush Telegraph, everything is now reportedly fine.

“Our health and safety weather contingencies kicked in and we evacuated the celebrities immediately to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed and it was safe to return to camp,” a source told The Sun.

Tonight’s episode will address not one but two cliffhangers.

The last time we saw Tom, Vogue, Kelly and Eddie, the foursome were trapped in a nightmare-ish “nursery” as part of a surprise trial.

Secondly, given that the vote opened a little later than usual, we still don’t know who will be taking part in this next Bushtucker Trial. Personally, I think we ought to give Angryginge a break after his emotional moment in last night’s episode – but who knows? Maybe swimming in a bucket of creepy-crawlies is the antidote to homesickness.

Is ITV's new trials rule working?

Monday 24 November 2025 19:30 , Rachel McGrath

In a bid to stop the same celebrity from being voted to do every trial, ITV introduced a new rule this year.

For the first time in the show’s history, celebrities cannot be voted to do more than two trials in a row. This hasn’t exactly helped mix things up though, as viewers have essentially voted for Aitch and Angryginge on alternate nights - which has proven boring for some...

Camp evacuated due to weather

The weather was so bad in Australia today that the contestants had to be evacuated from the camp – and filming was delayed by three hours.

“Our health and safety weather contingencies kicked in and we evacuated the celebrities immediately to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed and it was safe to return to camp,” a spokesperson said.
