Dean McCullough earned 10 stars in his sixth Bushtucker Trial on Monday night’s I’m a Celebrity, a personal best for the Radio 1 DJ.

McCullough had again been voted to face Monday’s trial “Jack and the Screamstalk”, much to the frustrations of Ant and Dec. However, the Northern Irish radio star exceeded expectations, earning 10 stars and even a round of applause from the hosts, who still found time to mock the star, due to how familiar they have become with him.

Elsewhere, Maura Higgins has been celebrating her birthday but wasn’t impressed by Danny Jones and Alan Halsall’s “dad jokes”.

Reverend Richard Coles also opened up about his sexuality and his faith in a very frank and risqué chat with GK Barry, as the two form an unlikely friendship.

In a twist, the campmates were given their food early with many assuming that they were being given a treat because of Maura’s birthday. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a treat at all as they were all invited to go on board “The Fright Bus” for a late night challenge.

They were told: “Tonight, you will all have the chance to win treats. However, to be in with a chance of winning, you will all need to take a trip on The Fright Bus!”

Each celebrity could win a piece of luggage from the rack, described to contain holiday essentials and even a tasty treat. However, what happened in the challenge was left as a mystery as we’ll have to wait for tomorrow’s episode to see what transpired on the bus.

Finally, it was announced on I’m a Celeb...Unpacked, that Maura and Jane Moore will take on the next trial, “The Fright at the End of the Tunnel”.

Follow along with our live coverage of tonight’s episode, below.

I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues every night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

I’m a Celebrity fans dumbstruck by GK Barry and Richard Coles’s risqué chat

Monday 25 November 2024 22:30

Greg Evans

I’m a Celebrity fans were left shocked by a risqué chat between content creator GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles on Monday night’s show (25 November).

After a heart-to-heart about Coles’s experience of being a gay vicar, Barry – who earlier in the series opened up about her sexuality and coming out – talked about how she used to be religious. She recalled going to a religious camp when she was younger, where there were men telling her not to have sex before she was married.

She said that even at 13, she thought: “Well, that’s not gonna happen. I see my future and it involves scissoring.”

Coles, 62, then asked Barry, 25, what scissoring is. She chose not to explain it to him in detail, but did tell him it was something that lesbians do. He then started making jokes about the “sizzling scissoring sisterhood”, and the pair collapsed into giggles.

Viewers were taken aback, to say the least. “Talking about scissoring with a reverend. I’m a Celeb is not real,” wrote one fan on X.

Next trial confirmed as “Fright at the end of the Tunnel"

Monday 25 November 2024 22:19

Greg Evans

Two celebrities will compete in tomorrow’s trial, which has been confirmed as “Fright at the end of the Tunnel”.

Not gonna lie, this doesn’t look fun at all...

“The Fright Bus” explained

Monday 25 November 2024 22:11

Greg Evans

The challenge was simple: the campmates had to endure the bus and work within their rows of three to escape it, passing four stops on its journey. To do this, each row would wait until their stop to manoeuvre three tokens across the bar to the stop button as fast as they could. Every token won, would equate to one piece of luggage.

Sadly, we’ll have to wait until Tuesday’s show to see what happened on the bus.

All aboard “The Fright Bus”

Monday 25 November 2024 22:04

Greg Evans

In a major twist all the campmates have to a late night challenge called “The Fright Bus”.

Each celebrity could win a piece of luggage each from the luggage rack, described to contain holiday essentials and even a tasty treat.

Let’s see what this is all about...

Who was Richard talking about?

Monday 25 November 2024 21:58

Greg Evans

During Richard and GK Barry’s chat he was asked “Have you ever met a Royal?” to which he confirmed he had.

Barry then asked “What are they like?” to which he joked “Great in bed”.

Let the speculation commence...

“Meals of Wheels” challenge earns campmates two Pringles each

Monday 25 November 2024 21:54

Greg Evans

From Richard’s enlightening conversation about the relationship between his faith and his sexuality to Melvin and Tulisa solving maths problems using rubber ducks in the “Meals on Wheels” challenge...you never know what you’re going to get on I’m a Celebrity.

A determined Tulisa and Melvin both waded into the cold water to begin counting ducks. As they began counting, Melvin said: “Carol Vorderman would be proud of us!”

When it came to the equation, Melvin revealed maths wasn’t his strong point, and it was up to Tulisa to work out their final answer. Calculating 222 - “a very lucky powerful number” - Tulisa and Melvin celebrated when they learned they had got it right and therefore won the dingo dollars.

When they went to see Kiosk Kev, main camp were asked the following question:

How many UK top 10 singles does the entire camp have?

A) 25

B) 26

C) 27

Correctly answering C) 27, the camp were treated to 2 pringles each.

Reverend Richard Coles opens up about his sexuality in refreshing chat with GK Barry

Monday 25 November 2024 21:43

Greg Evans

I’m a Celebrity contestant Reverend Richard Coles has said that being gay and in the church never caused him “a twinge of anxiety”.

On Monday night’s episode (25 November) of the ITV show, Coles, 62, was chatting to content creator GK Barry about juggling his sexuality and religion.

Barry, who earlier in the series opened up about her sexuality and coming out, asked Coles: “Did you find it quite difficult being gay and doing that job?”

Coles then confessed: “No, not at all. I’ve never given it a moment’s twinge of anxiety over whether God thought it was alright or not. Whether other people thought it was alright or not, well I’m happy to have that argument…”

He added of his sexuality: “Also, I was not the first. Sometimes I look at documents from the early church, or the church of the middle ages and I just think – so gay.”

Viewers convinced Jane want’s to do a trial

Monday 25 November 2024 21:21

Greg Evans

A day after she complained about being given the dishes as her chore, viewers want Loose Women star, Jane Moore to take on a trial.

“So can we all mass vote Jane to do the next trial? just need someone other than Dean,” said one viewer.

A second added: “Jane is DESPERATE for a whiff of a trial.”

Meanwhile, Barry McGuigan thinks that Dean secretly enjoys doing the trials and has been screaming to get noticed more.

An interesting strategy if that is the case...

Rebekah Vardy praises Coleen Rooney after trial

Rebekah Vardy has shockingly praised her “Wagatha Christie” rival Coleen Rooney following her successful debut in the Bushtucker Trial. Rooney and Dean McCullouch managed to get nine stars for the camp on Sunday, which impressed Vardy, who was a contestant on the show in 2017.

In her column for The Sun, Vardy wrote: “It’s blowing a gale at home but there’s definitely a rumble in the jungle.

“Luckily it’s not in the campmates’ stomachs, as Teabag Dean had Coleen with him for Absolute Carnage and they managed to get nine stars.

|I’m applauding Coleen. She really held her nerve as the mealworms, cockroaches and rats crawled all over her.”

Ant McPartlin asks viewers to vote for other contestants

Monday 25 November 2024 19:00

Greg Evans

During his appearance on Sunday’s, I’m a Celeb Unpacked, Ant McPartlin directly addressed viewers and asked them to vote for another contestant aside from Dean McCullough, who is now on his sixth Bushtucker Trial of the series.

After being asked about McCullough taking on another challenge, McPartlin held his hands up and said: “Let’s all have a serious talk, I’m going to look directly at the camera here.

“I think it’s good to see other faces down there [in the trial area]. It’s not a personal thing, it’s not about Dean, it’s about us.

“We want to see different people on the show being featured. “I’d like to see Barry do a trial, Melvin on there, Oti ...”

Continuing, he said: “We find this every year when someone gets voted in multiple times, you just get to a part where you go, ‘who’s still voting for Dean?’ I don’t get it.”

Preview of Monday’s Bushtucker Trial

Monday 25 November 2024 18:30

Greg Evans

ITV has shared a preview of Monday’s Bushtucker Trial which sees Dean take on ‘Jack and the Screamstalk’. The Radio One DJ initially appears to be doing well but has a moment of crisis when Ant McPartlin tells him that he’s just put his hand in a box full of spiders.

Viewers demand rules change as Dean faces his sixth trial

Monday 25 November 2024 18:00

Greg Evans

Dean McCullough will take on “Jack and the Screamstalk” in tonight’s Bushtucker Trial, which will be the Radio One DJ’s sixth trial of the series already.

The 32-year-old is already on course for an I’m a Celeb record, for doing seven trials on the show but viewers are quickly getting annoyed with the DJ constantly being selected for the challenges.

After it was announced, many fans voiced their frustrations with the current voting system and asked for there to be a rule change.

One person wrote: “Please implement a new rule where people can’t get voted after their second trial in a row. It just makes the show boring and makes your show very repetitive.”

“I think once you’ve done one trial you should be exempt from the next one to give others a chance,” a second viewer said.

A third added: “This is getting boring now. Campmates shouldn’t be able to be voted for twice in a row for trials. It’s ruining it every year.”

Ant McPartlin shares his verdict on Alan and Dean row

Monday 25 November 2024 17:00

Greg Evans

Ant McPartlin has suggested that Coronation Street star Alan Halsall was being “passive aggressive” before an argument broke out between him and BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough.

In the latest episode of the ITV reality show, McCullough took issue with Halsall for waking him up then walking away after initially trying to get him to help Loose Women star Jane Moore collect firewood.

Posting an Instagram Live, McPartlin and his longtime co-host Declan Donnelly discussed the incident, which the latter referred to as “the first little bit of tension” in the camp.

Speaking about the build-up to her participation on Love Island, she recalled: “So I had a boyfriend at the time.”

While she was initially unsure whether to agree to go on the hit dating series, she one day decided to look through her boyfriend’s phone – only to learn of her partner’s indiscretions.

Ever notice some of the contestants on I’m a Celeb are quite made-up considering they’re saddled with minimal luxuries and semi-regular cockroach showers? Well, here’s how a few of the women on this year’s series may have gotten around the no-make-up rule...

Monday 25 November 2024 06:00

Adam White

While Sunday’s episode built to a mild argument between Jane and Barry, tensions had bubbled up earlier in the weekend, with Dean and Alan sharing a tense moment in the jungle.

It began after Alan attempted to wake Dean from a nap as he had firewood to collect, leading the pair to exchange some terse words.

Asked about the incident on the I’m a Celeb aftershow, Ant McPartlin suggested that – despite viewers seeming to take Alan’s side in the interaction – Alan was being “passive aggressive” before the argument.

Monday 25 November 2024 05:00

Adam White

I know what you’ve been thinking since the start of this series: who on earth is GK Barry?

Luckily we’ve put together a handy guide to this year’s campmates, which can be found here.

Monday 25 November 2024 04:00

Adam White

Dean has emerged as one of the more contentious campmates this year, being quick to screams and throwing in the towel relatively early in his first challenge last week.

Ant McPartlin has also been dragged into the saga, addressing on Friday complaints that he had admonished Dean a bit too harshly.

Appearing on the I’m a Celeb aftershow, he said that “my annoyance came across on screen and I was quite unprofessional”.

Monday 25 November 2024 03:00

Adam White

Admit it – you’re curious if Coleen has said much about her personal life so far...

Some believe she may have been alluding to her husband’s infidelities while discussing her marriage with Oti on Friday’s episode.

She’s also spoken about the infamous “Wagatha Christie” saga, but admitted that she felt “ashamed” by the experience.

Monday 25 November 2024 02:00

Adam White

Enjoying Maura so far? The Love Island star didn’t have a whole lot to say in her first camp-based episode on Sunday night, but she’s still getting a lot of support after her hilarious Richard Coles one-liner on Friday...

Monday 25 November 2024 01:00

Adam White

Curious how much this year’s contestants are being paid? Reports suggest Coleen is on the higher end of earnings, and relative newcomers to fame such as GK are on significantly less.

Monday 25 November 2024 00:15

Adam White

The other moment of note in Sunday night’s episode was a funny anecdote involving Maura’s unnamed ex-boyfriend, as she told the camp about the elaborate revenge scheme she took out on him when he discovered he was cheating on her...

Sunday 24 November 2024 23:30

Adam White

Coleen also spoke about meeting Donald Trump at the White House in 2018, and being so thrown off by comments he made about football players’ girlfriends that she told her mother he was a “dirty bastard”.

Sunday 24 November 2024 22:45

Adam White

So if you missed tonight’s episode, there was a big shake-up in the camp with Danny and Barry voted new camp leaders.

This ruffled feathers, however, when Jane was asked to wash up for the camp over the coming days, despite her apparently requesting at an earlier date that she did not want to wash up.

Sunday 24 November 2024 22:04

Adam White

Somewhat inevitably, it’s Dean who will take part in Jack and the Screamstalk.

“It’s not necessarily critter related,” Tulisa tells him.

Sunday 24 November 2024 22:03

Adam White

Finally, we’re about to find out who will take part in Jack and the Screamstalk per votes from the public.

Sunday 24 November 2024 22:01

Adam White

So while Jane says she was winding Barry up, she doesn’t seem to be all that happy about doing the washing up.

“Seems much like the 1950s!” she complains.

Tulisa and GK both believe tensions are due to rise within days...

Sunday 24 November 2024 22:01

Adam White

So Danny and Barry are looking quite depleted after the arguments over assigned chores.

Barry says he didn’t mean to upset Jane, but Jane is saying now that she was only “winding him up” when she complained about being asked to do the washing up.

Sunday 24 November 2024 21:57
