ICPKL Day One: Discussion on developments in Palestine

SEREMBAN - The International Conference on Palestine, Kuala Lumpur (ICPKL) has officially kicked off today.

With the aim of helping to bridge the international community with Palestinian prisoners, the grand event saw the participation of 500 international and local delegates at the Royal Chulan Hotel here today.

On day one of the three-day conference, Al-Quds Foundation chief executive officer Dr Sharif Amin Abu Shammala gave the latest updates on Palestine.

"Apart from that, today's conference also included the presentation of strategic planning for Palestine by representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Pakistan, Cambodia, South Africa, and Vietnam," he added.

One of the participants, Selin Ahmetoğlu, 25, from the Global Woman Coalition in Turkey, expressed her gratitude to the ICPKL for having a great conference in order to advocate for public awareness on Palestine issues.

"This conference is a show of support to the world that we are with the Palestinians," she said.

Another participant, Khalifah Syohratul, 24, from Indonesia, said her participation in this conference will be a huge first step in joining the humanitarian effort in Palestine and beyond.
