SHAH ALAM - Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Azhar Harun says those who do not vote have no right to complain.

“People die for the right to vote. In other countries, people have to go and fight to vote.

“They face bullets to vote but here you have the right to vote and yet you don’t want to vote,” he said during Fireside Chat interview with Sinar Daily.

Azhar further said the rakyat should not follow their emotions to boycott elections, stating people may not be making the right choice by not going out to vote on Nov 19.

Due to that, he said the rakyat should be equipped with knowledge.

“Equipped yourself with knowledge as it conveys truth," he said, further stating people should check on information displayed in Tiktok or Instagram.

“These are not news, these are social media. I'm not saying that all of it is untrue, some of them are true. So we have to equip ourselves with knowledge and we’ll be fine,” he further said.
