Filipino artistry and community spirit took center stage at the opening of “Ignite,” an art exhibition that transformed Bonifacio Global City into a vibrant hub of creativity and celebration.
Organized by David Kaufman and Norlie Meimban, the exhibit opened to a strong turnout, bringing together artists, supporters and art enthusiasts for what organizers described as a celebration of both art and heart.
The event featured the works of 60 talented artists, showcasing a diverse range of Filipino creativity and artistic expression. Hosted at MC Home Depot BGC, the exhibition provided a platform for artists to connect with the public while highlighting the richness of local talent.
Adding to the festive atmosphere was a selection of gourmet street food, giving visitors a chance to enjoy culinary offerings alongside the artwork on display.
One of the most emotional moments of the opening was a performance by children from Tahanan Pinagmamahal of Pasig, who sang “We Are the World.” The presentation moved many attendees and underscored the exhibit’s charitable component, with proceeds helping provide financial support for the children.
The occasion also served as a birthday celebration for organizer Kaufman, making the gathering a double celebration for guests and participants.
The “Ignite” exhibit is open to the public with free admission from June 7 to June 20, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the 4th Floor, Uptown Palazzo, MC Home Depot, 38th Street, Bonifacio Global City.
Organizers expressed their gratitude to sponsors Kaufman Incorporated and MC Home Depot BGC for their support in making the event possible.
