KUALA LUMPUR — Ikhlas Com Travel Sdn Bhd (ikhlas.com) has introduced its latest curated travel experience, Jejak Tamadun Mesir: 8D6N Cairo with Mostafa Atef, combining Islamic heritage, history and spirituality with a journey through Egypt’s capital.
Launched in conjunction with Mostafa Atef: Salawat On The Move, the Muslim-friendly travel package will see travellers accompanied by Egyptian singer Mostafa Atef, who is known for his performances of salawat and Islamic music.
The eight-day, six-night Cairo package is scheduled to depart from Oct 10 to 16, offering travellers opportunities to explore some of the city’s most prominent historical and Islamic landmarks, including the Pyramids and Sphinx and Al-Azhar Mosque.
ikhlas.com chief executive officer Ikhlas Kamarudin said the journey was designed to offer travellers a deeper appreciation of Cairo beyond its conventional tourist attractions.
“Egypt is a destination with a remarkable history and deep connection with the Islamic civilisation.
“Through Jejak Tamadun Mesir, we want travellers to experience Cairo not only as a tourist destination, but as a place to see the history, knowledge and culture.
“Having Mostafa Atef as part of this journey makes the experience even more meaningful, particularly for those who appreciate salawat and Islamic music.
“We hope this journey inspires travellers to travel with greater purpose while discovering the richness of Egypt’s heritage,” he said.

Mostafa said he was pleased to be part of the initiative and hoped the journey would provide participants with a different perspective of Egypt.
“I am very happy to be part of this special journey to Cairo with ikhlas.com and hope this journey allows everyone to discover Egypt in a different way, deepen their appreciation of its rich heritage and create memories that remain in their heart,” he said.
The launch also featured Salawat On The Move, a special salawat experience aboard the KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus with Mostafa.
Guests and media members travelled through several of Kuala Lumpur’s landmarks, beginning at Halab Gate Restaurant before proceeding to KL Tower, Central Market, Dataran Merdeka, the Petronas Twin Towers and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
The initiative was held in conjunction with the spirit of Maulidur Rasul, encouraging participants to remember Prophet Muhammad SAW through the recitation of salawat while travelling through the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
According to ikhlas.com, the Cairo package is suitable for families and groups of friends seeking a travel experience centred on heritage and spirituality.
The package is priced at RM6,990 per person, with deposits starting from RM365 per person, allowing travellers to secure their holiday with a lower upfront payment.
The package will provide travellers with the opportunity to experience Cairo’s historical and cultural heritage while incorporating Islamic elements into the journey.
