Jake Paul challenges Ilia Topuria to spar

In footage shared by KickStreamingHQ, Jake Paul fired the first shot, saying: “If you think I’m a bad boxer, then we should spar. Let’s spar. When I beat your a__ in sparring, what will you say then?”

Ilia Topuria did not hesitate in his response: “Yeah, whenever you want, bro. As a boxer, you suck. Just get ready, because you’re gonna need another period of time to recover your jaw.”

Paul doubled down, replying: “The thing is, I don’t need the jaw to be healed, because you’re not gonna touch me, bro. You MMA fighters are all trash, I beat all of the best in your sport [in boxing matches].”

The back-and-forth reflected the growing tension between professional boxers and MMA champions crossing into the ring.

Ilia Topuria and Jake Paul escalate the MMA vs. boxing debate

The exchange intensified further when Ilia Topuria said: “What the f___ are you talking about? Listen, we can spar whenever you want. I’m gonna give you a combo… and you are gonna be on your f______ knees.

“And we’re talking about boxing, because if you really go into [an MMA] fight, and we do a full fight…”

Jake Paul interrupted Topuria, stating: “Oh, we can do that, too. We can do that, too. Everyone in your sport thinks they have hands, and we’re gonna find out, buddy.

“It’s gonna be funny when people see what happens.”

The confrontation revived the ongoing rivalry between boxing purists and MMA stars who believe their striking translates across disciplines.

While no official bout has been announced, the verbal sparring has fuelled speculation about whether the clash could move beyond streaming platforms. For now, it remains a war of words. But neither man sounded interested in leaving it there.
