In just over a month, UFC Freedom 250 is set to take centre stage with Ilia Topuria headlining against Justin Gaethje.

A video uploaded on Topuria’s YouTube channel features his brother, Aleksandre Topuria, analysing Gaethje’s style. His breakdown highlights a perceived weakness during exchanges.

“He’s very fragile when he hits, but it’s a double-edged sword to choose to hit him when he’s hitting. So you’ve got to be very picky with your shots,” he began by saying about ‘The Highlight’.

“When he hits, he’s very vulnerable to shots, because he doesn’t know how to hit clean like you do. He gives everything when hitting. That’s where he’s vulnerable.”

Aleksandre also stressed caution despite that opening. “When he exchanges, he’s a dog. That’s why it’s super important to be selective with your shots. When you hit, before hitting, think and stay protected.”

Ilia Topuria is confident, despite his respect for Justin Gaethje

Topuria has already shown strong confidence ahead of the fight. He previously promised a first-round knockout victory over Gaethje.

At the same time, he suggested the interim champion has been underestimated by fans and media.

Overall, analysts view the matchup as complex. Gaethje’s experience and power make him a dangerous opponent.

However, Topuria’s well-rounded skill set in grappling and striking suggests there is no way out for the 37-year-old American.
