Cristiano Ronaldo took part in Manchester United's tour debrief yesterday.

Ronaldo, who missed the preseason tour after being excused by the club for 'personal reasons', was back at Carrington from 10am yesterday for the first time this summer. He was accompanied by agent Jorge Mendes and met with new manager Erik ten Hag.

Insiders say the Portuguese was also seen chatting with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson and club legend Bryan Robson in the canteen.

The Sun reports the 37-year-old sat in on the tour debrief with Ten Hag as the squad looked back on the 17-day trip to Thailand and Australia.

Mendes was hoping to have a meeting with chief executive Richard Arnold to reaffirm Ronaldo's wish to leave — but United sources indicated last night there has been no change in the club's view.

Ronaldo spent the full day at Carrington before heading home just before 5pm.
