
Kota Kinabalu: A 45-year-old lorry driver was charged with two counts of committing incest and physical sexual harassment against his five-year-old daughters.
The man pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Marlina Ibrahim, to the charges against him on Thursday.
Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});On the first count, he is accused of committing sexual abuse against the minor by touching and fondling her breasts as well as touching her private part at 9am in June 2018 at a house in Beaufort.
The offence, under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, provides for a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.

On the second count, the man allegedly raped the same minor at 11am also in June 2018 at the same place.

The court set Feb 24 for pre-trial case management and released the man on bail of RM10,000 in two local sureties for each charge.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Shafeerah Mad Iskim appeared for the prosecution while the man was not represented.
Meanwhile, a man charged with raping his girlfriend’s daughter, maintained his plea of not guilty during pre-trial case management.
The court fixed another mention date to set trial date for Md Rizal Satumin.
During the proceedings, the prosecution had served all documents to Md Rizal.
Md Rizal is accused of raping the 14 years and three-month-old girl at a house in Putatan between June 26, 2024 and June 28, 2024.
The court ordered Md Rizal’s bail to be extended pending the disposal of his case.
Counsel Farrah Hamdain, who stood in for counsel Azhier Farhan, represented Md Rizal.
