BEAUFORT: Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Ruslan Muharam, said mosque and surau committee members, including religious and Al-Quran teachers, throughout Sabah should be included as Socso members for protection in the event of an accident while on duty.
He will discuss the matter with the Sabah State Department of Islamic Religious Affairs (Jheains) and the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis) to ensure that Socso’s contribution efforts can be extended to communities under this agency.
“Therefore, this opportunity should be taken seriously because it is one of the government’s mechanisms to help the people,” he said, recently.
