Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysia My Second Home Sabah Association recorded a notable increase in inquiries and applications for the Sabah-MM2H programme following the State Government’s announcement of relaxed eligibility criteria.
The revised policy, announced by Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew, reduces the minimum application age from 30 to 25 years and allows fixed deposits to be placed in any of 12 approved banks.
Participants may also withdraw up to 50 per cent of their deposits after 12 months.

“These enhancements are a strong step forward in positioning Sabah as a top destination for international residents seeking a safe, high-quality lifestyle,” said Malaysia My Second Home Sabah Association President Jenny Ngu.
The Association has recorded increased interest from applicants in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and Canada since the policy changes were announced.
Jenny said the initiative is more than a visa, but a lifestyle invitation to experience Sabah’s natural beauty, cultural richness and vibrant community.
The Association, which represents licensed Sabah-MM2H agents, is promoting the programme through global roadshows, webinars and multilingual marketing campaigns targeting high net worth individuals worldwide.
