Kota Kinabalu: The State Legislative Assembly unanimously agreed to increase the yearly salary and allowances of the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri (TYT) by passing a Bill to amend the royal provision, Civil List Enactment 1963.
Speaker Datuk Kadzim M. Yahya said majority of the members in the House agreed for the amended enactment which is now cited as the Civil List (Amendment) Enactment 2022.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, who tabled the Bill, said the State Government would incur extra expenditure amounting to RM165,048 per year, which is not burdening the State’s financial standing.
