Kota Kinabalu: State Assembly and State administration (State Cabinet) members will be getting higher remuneration following the passing of an amended Bill, Tuesday.
The Bill seeks to amend the Members of the Administration and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Remuneration) Enactment 1981 and now cited as the Members of the Administration and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Remuneration) (Amendment) Enactment 2022.
Deputy Speaker Datuk Ahmad Abdul Rahman announced passage of the Bill upon receiving majority voice votes. The amended enactment would be retrospective to March 1.
