An Indian national was among three persons arrested for alleged drug trafficking in Nepal, police said on Wednesday.
Indian national Nandan Kamati (21) from Madhubani district of Bihar, and Nepal’s Ram Udar Yadav and Ram Bilaxen Yadav were arrested from Bishnupur municipality in Siraha district on Tuesday on charges of drug trafficking, a police official said.
The official said a small quantity of brown sugar was recovered from their possession during a security check on a public bus.
They were heading towards Kathmandu from Siraha on the bus, the official said.
An investigation has been launched into the matter, the official said.
