- US President Donald Trump will attend the World Cup final with his pal Gianni Infantino, the Fifa boss said Tuesday.
- Infantino was speaking with Fox News when he was asked whether Trump will present the trophy to the World Cup 2026 winners.
- "We will be together with the president, enjoying the final, and handing the trophy to the winner together,” Infantino said, adding, “We are together all the time."
- Trump has yet to attend a World Cup event after the tournament launched on June 11 - despite the US being a co-host.
- Andrew Giuliani, the chief of Trump's World Cup task force, said this week that the president hasn’t attended a game yet because he wants to "leave people watching."
