Injured delivery rider keeps working despite road accident

Kuala Lumpur: An injured food delivery rider has touched the hearts of Malaysians after continuing to work despite being involved in a road accident earlier that day.

Facebook user Haoyee Yeow shared that she noticed the rider limping while delivering her food and asked what had happened. He told her he had been hit by a car at a junction during heavy rain.

When asked why he was still working instead of seeking medical treatment, the rider revealed he was divorced and had children, which was why he chose to keep working despite his injury.

Moved by his story, the customer gave the rider a tip and thanked him for safely delivering her meal despite his injury.

She later said many people continue working through pain because they have no choice, urging the public to show more kindness and appreciation to delivery riders and other frontline workers.

Her post has since gone viral, with many Malaysians praising the rider's dedication and expressing sympathy for his situation.
