Institutional responsibility key to effective state initiatives: Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said institutional responsibility, strong management and planning foundations are crucial to ensure development initiatives are implemented effectively, sustainably and with long-term benefits for the State.

He said this during a courtesy call by Sabah Development Berhad (SDB) led by Datuk Dr Yusuf Yacob and senior management representatives at his office on Monday.

Masidi highlighted SDB’s role in supporting the State Government through projects that deliver economic impact, stimulate local economic activity and create job opportunities, particularly for Sabahans.

The discussion also covered SDB’s strategic direction and potential collaboration in investment, property development and strategic economic initiatives aligned with the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 agenda, with SDB reaffirming its commitment to integrity and professionalism.

On the same day, Masidi also received a courtesy call from Sabah Government Employees Cooperative Berhad (Kopeks) chairman Datuk Saat Ag Damit, chief executive officer Buvil Angkui and their delegation, during which he offered strategic suggestions to strengthen income generation, improve operational effectiveness and safeguard members’ wellbeing.
