iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 15R in Malaysia, positioning it as a flagship gaming smartphone engineered around what the brand calls the “Performance Trio” — a combination of processing power, battery endurance, and thermal management designed to keep up with the demands of competitive mobile gaming.
Priced from RM2,499, the iQOO 15R takes aim at a market segment where overheating, frame drops, and battery drain remain perennial pain points for enthusiasts.
Dual-Chip Architecture at the Core
The iQOO 15R runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, paired with iQOO’s proprietary Supercomputing Chip Q2 and the Monster HyperCore Engine. This dual-chip setup is designed to handle intensive gaming and multitasking without thermal throttling — delivering what iQOO describes as PC-grade 1.5K Super Resolution and native-level 144 FPS game frame interpolation.
The result, according to the brand, is a smoother, more responsive gaming experience with enhanced visual clarity across supported titles.

One of the headline specifications of the iQOO 15R is its 7,600mAh Silicon Anode Battery — a notably large capacity achieved through high-energy density technology that iQOO says does not compromise the device’s slim profile.
Heat management is handled by a 6.5K IceCore Vapour Chamber Cooling System supplemented by a dual-layer graphite sheet, engineered to maintain stable performance during extended high-intensity sessions. When the battery does need topping up, 100W FlashCharge brings it back quickly, while Advanced Bypass Charging routes power directly to the system during heavy-load charging to reduce heat buildup and protect long-term battery health.
Display and Design
The iQOO 15R features a 6.59-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED Esports Display, delivering sharp visuals and fluid motion. Hardware-level Game Eye Protection is built in to reduce eye fatigue during extended play.
The device’s form factor has been engineered with a grip zone iQOO claims is 17% larger than comparable large-screen devices — balancing screen real estate with comfortable one-handed handling. Design details include a seamless metal frame, smooth back panel, rounded corners, and a sloped camera module integrated cleanly into the overall aesthetic.
Official Gaming Phone of Malaysian Kings League 2026
Following the iQOO 15’s association with the competition, the iQOO 15R has been named the official gaming phone of the Malaysian Kings League (MKL) 2026 — an esports tournament that this year expands to 10 teams, including six partner clubs. Malaysia’s top Honor of Kings professional teams will compete using the iQOO 15R throughout the tournament, providing a high-pressure real-world showcase for the device’s performance credentials.

The iQOO 15R is available in two configurations — 12GB + 256GB at RM2,499 and 12GB + 512GB at RM2,699 — in Pixel Silver and Dark Knight colourways. It is available through iQOO’s official TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada, and vivo Concept Stores.
