No, BBC and Netflix have not yet announced A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 3.
However, fans of the book-to-screen murder mystery adaptation on Netflix need not feel dejected, as we received confirmation about season 2 in November 2024, months after the first season dropped on streaming platforms. So, if a similar timeline is being followed, we may have to wait a while for an official announcement.
What could A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 3 be about?
The first season adapted the events of the first book in Holly Jackson’s thriller series, introducing viewers to Pip and her investigation of Andie Bell’s death.
Season 2 dived into Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in the trilogy, which raises the stakes considerably and pushes Pip deeper into the dangerous world of crime investigation.
That leaves the third novel, As Good As Dead, ready to be adapted for a potential season 3. And honestly? It tells the darkest and most intense story in the series.
Unlike the earlier books, which balance mystery with coming-of-age drama, As Good As Dead takes a much heavier psychological turn. Pip is no longer just a curious schoolgirl trying to solve a case for a project. She’s traumatised, exhausted, paranoid and struggling with the consequences of becoming obsessed with crime. If adapted with care, season 3 could easily become the most gripping chapter of the show.

Which cast members could return for season 3?
If season 3 happens, audiences can reasonably expect the central cast to return, especially Emma Myers as Pip and Zain Iqbal as her boyfriend Ravi Singh. Alongside them, Henry Ashton as Max Hastings, Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor Reynolds, Asha Banks as Cara Ward, and Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson are all expected to reprise their roles.
Is there a release date for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 3?
