England continue their World Cup preparations with a final warm-up game against minnows Costa Rica in Florida on Wednesday.
Harry Kane scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over New Zealand, the tournament’s lowest-ranked side, at the weekend, with Costa Rica - who will not feature at the World Cup - similarly not expected to provide formidable opposition.
The Three Lions have been boosted by the arrival of Arsenal quartet Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, who were given extra time to recover after the Champions League final, with this game offering Thomas Tuchel one last chance to tinker with his formation before the tournament begins.
Tuchel’s side will play a final behind-closed-doors training game on Thursday before their Group L opener against Croatia next Wednesday in Dallas.
Here’s everything you need to know.
When is England vs Costa Rica?
England’s clash with Costa Rica kicks off at 9pm BST on Wednesday 10 June at the Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
How can I watch it?
Viewers in the UK can watch the match free-to-air on ITV1 with coverage starting at 8pm. It can also be streamed on ITVX.
Team news
The arrival of the four Arsenal players is a boost but Tuchel said they were handling Bukayo Saka with care after a niggling injury affected him throughout the end of the regular season, so he may make a limited appearance.
All of the squad got through the New Zealand game without issues so Tuchel has a full-strength team at his disposal, although a repeat of the wholesale changes against New Zealand is not expected.
Predicted line-ups
England XI: Pickford, James, Stones, Guehi, O'Reilly, Anderson, Rice, Saka, Bellingham, Rashford, Kane
Costa Rica XI: Sequeira, Quiros, Mitchell, Faerron, Araya, Salazar, Flores, Mora, Soto, Alcocer, Ugalde
