The Independent staff have weighed in on the debate that has taken over social media; is it unprofessional to bring an iced coffee into a job interview?

Corporate recruiter Caitlin Wehniainen sparked the online furore after she posted a TikTok video in which she said “don’t waltz into your interview all casual with an iced coffee. It just looks like you didn’t have time to finish your coffee beforehand.”

This sparked a fierce debate online between different generations and their differing etiquette standards so we decided to get our staff to share their views.
