Is Paraguay vs France on TV? Channel, kick-off time and how to watch World Cup clash

France face Paraguay in the last 16 of the World Cup on Saturday, with Les Blues looking to continue their near-perfect start to the tournament.

Didier Deschamps’ players have quickly made themselves the favourites for the tournament, with the 3-0 win over Sweden in the round of 32 the latest in a series of impressive displays.

And while the two-time winners will head into this game as overwhelming favourites, they will be wary of a Paraguay side who have already proven themselves capable of a giant-killing, with the South Americans having landed a famous win over Germany to make it to this stage.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game.

When is Paraguay vs France?

Paraguay vs France is due to kick off at 9pm BST on Saturday, 4 July at the Philadelphia Stadium.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the match live on BBC One, with coverage from 9.30pm BST on the channel. A live stream will be available via BBC iPlayer.

Who will the winner face next?

The winner of this tie will face Canada/Morocco in the quarter-finals, with that match taking place at 9pm BST in Boston on Thursday, 9 July.

Team news

Paraguay will welcome back Diego Gomez from suspension, though Omar Alderete is yet to recover from a knee injury sustained in the final group game.

France’s only injury concern is to back-up striker Marcus Thuram, and while Didier Deschamps might be tempted to rest some key men, Paraguay’s win over Germany might mean that he opts for a strong starting line-up similar to that used against Sweden.

Possible line-ups

Paraguay XI: Gill; Caceres, Gomez, Canale, Alonso; Almiron, Cubas, Gomez, Galarza, Enciso; Avalos.

France XI: Maignan; Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, Digne; Tchouameni, Rabiot; Dembele, Olise, Doue; Mbappe.
