After the cliffhanger ending of My Life with the Walter Boys season 2, fans cannot wait for season 3.

Adapted from the Wattpad original story by Ali Novak, the high school rom-com series was faithful to its source material in season 1. However, since Novak only came out with a sequel, My Return to the Walter Boys, in April 2025, a few months before season 2 aired, the onus for continuing the story without an already existing sequel fell on the show’s writers. Which is why the new book and season 2 are considerably different. In the latter, they’ve chosen to focus more on individual arcs and family drama alongside the spicy love triangle.

This also means that fans aren’t completely sure about who would win — Team Cole, Team Alex or Team Jackie — adding more to their curiosity about season 3 and if it is in the works.

Will there be a season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys?

Yes. Your favourite messy teen drama has been renewed for season 3 by Netflix.

Do we know any details about its plot, cast or release date?

While there are no official announcements yet, it can be assumed that the existing cast members will be reprising their roles, and the plot will pick up right after the cliffhanger ending of season 2.

Since season 3 has already started filming, fans won’t have to wait too long. My Life with the Walter Boys season 3 will be released in 2026.

Meanwhile, you can binge-watch both seasons of the show on Netflix.

How does My Life with the Walter Boys season 2 end?

Spoilers ahead!

In the finale, Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole (Noah LaLonde) have a confrontation outside their house where the latter tells her that he saw her with Alex (Ashby Gentry), and yet he loves her. Jackie tells him that she loves him, too, but this declaration is overheard by Alex.

However, this climax doesn’t get a closure as Will (Johnny Link) returns home after looking for the boys’ father, George (Marc Blucas), with an ambulance following him. The ending hints that George might have had a heart attack, which was foreshadowed by his hand twitches and chest pains earlier in the show.
